I never actually received this product. It was lost by the USPS and the merchant had no more items in stock. She did however promptly refund the full purchase price as well as postage. So from that perspective things with this purchase went as well as they possibly could have given that I never actually got the ipod.

4 Stars Does what I bought it for
I bought this specifically to use at the gym and on airplanes. The small size and controls that are easy to use without looking at them are great for both.

Using iTunes isn’t that bad, but you really have to pick ONE computer for this device and only use it with that. Even if you try just to play the iPod through a different computer it won’t let you. I created several different play lists in iTunes and every now an then sync a new one on the iPod, even though all the lists would fit at once. I do this because the shuffle does not have its own concept of a play list and forwarding through the songs to find the one you are in the mood for gets old.

In summary, limited, but good for specific things. Don’t mistake this for a more general purpose player.

5 Stars Perfect for my needs!
I wanted an mp3 player for working out. I dont like things strapped to my arms or legs so a more traditional mp3 player was out of the question. Also I don’t really listen to music outside of the car and gym so no need for a fancy player. Once I saw this thing in person I knew it was perfect for me. Its solid metal with a built in clip, also metal. Its extremely small and light. I can clip it to various parts of my clothing to accommodate the position im currently in. The sound quality is fantastic and I love the random song choices. You also can make your own playlist in itunes and use that but personally I like the surprise of random songs plus hearing songs that you may normally skip over on albums. As for battery time, well its never died on me. Seems to hold a charge forever, even when I don’t charge it for a couple weeks while slacking on the workouts. Overall its been almost 3 years and this little thing looks great and sounds great. Also, in my opinion, the orange is the best color they have offered this in.

You can’t even see what song you are playing and you need to use iTunes to upload your music. For this price, you can get something a LOT better that’s not iPod that could even play videos! It doesn’t stay charged for long. I regret getting this thing! Now I’m looking to buy a non-Apple mp3 player, which I can actually SELECT what song I want to hear. Plus, unlike most mp3 players, you can’t use this as a flash drive for file storage. Completely worthless.

5 Stars Great product.
Very light weight and easy to clip on a shirt or shorts. I bought it to listen to music on the treadmill. There is no visual display, but that wasn’t important to me. The ear buds are too large to be comfortable, but great sound.

4 Stars Best thing since slice bread…
I would’ve given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that these little mp3’s are so easily lost (I’m currently on my 5th one!). Aside from that it’s awesome. You can clip it just about anywhere on your clothes. The sound quality is great. Easy to operate for those individuals who are not technically savvy (think grandma). I dare say that you will not find a better workout mp3.

There are other negative qualities that might turn some people off. Not being able to select specific songs means that you will be clicking the forward button god knows how many times before you find it, constantly having to sync with itunes to get your playlists into it, given the mood your in (unless of course you like having Metallica followed by Barry Manillow) and like I said earlier “honey, have you seen my shuffle?”…lol

All in all good value, you can’t go wrong with this.

I bought this item for use when walking/running and during downtime. The charge time is fast, and it lasts for quite a while in use and on standby. I could not fit the advertised amount of songs on mine, I suspect maybe it is an estimate. I have approximately 180 songs loaded. The only other problem I had were the ear buds were too large for my ears and uncomfortable. I was concerned about the size, as it is not much larger than a postage stamp; however, the bright pink color makes it easy to find. Overall it is cute, very functional, easy to use, has high sound quality and it is fun! Oh, one more thing, I was supposed to get 15$ worth of free music from amazon, but never did. I imagine customer service will clear this up for me when I call.

5 Stars 2GB Ipod shuffle
This is a great product. We travel a great deal and all I want is my music. I have three shuffles and they fit in my fanny pack, great for a plane, by the pool or beach. I love them. One is classical music, one is easy listening, and the other is vocals. The best of all bpossible worlds.

5 Stars Easy to use, lightweight but one minor drawback
I own a 2 GB silver one and a 1 GB green one. My wife has an earlier 20GB iPod with the wheel.

Here’s the deal with the suffles. They are great for the gym and travel. You can’t beat the weight and convenience (built in clip), and simple use.

There is only one drawback. Unlike the traditional iPods, there is no display. So you’ll either listen to the music in the order you put the songs in, or the unit will shuffle the songs for you. But, I don’t think Apple designed these to be people’s primary iPod. I think they were designed for the biker, runner, gym rat, etc., who wanted a low cost and simple way to store a lot of tunes.

So for all the negative comments about not having a display, don’t waste your time with this one. Buy a more expensive iPod or a Sansdisk model. You’ll get your more advanced features.
